The Clinic

Our clinic building is approximately 500 years old. It is a Grade II listed, timber-frame building with a brick front, and has probably always been a shop. It was originally part of the house next door.

The shop hasn’t always been appreciated or looked after and was very neglected during the 1990’s.

In 2000 new owners repaired the building and converted it into a tea shop. After that it was a hairdressers, and finally owned by an Estate Agent, but during this time it was again poorly maintained and then left vacant for three years.

Before becoming Crown Hill Clinic the roof needed significant repairs, and the interior was completely restored and redecorated using traditional lime plasters and coloured limewashes, revealing the building’s true character, and providing us with three lovely treatment rooms.

We are pleased to bring new light and energy back into this lovely piece of Suffolk heritage.
